Madden 24 was officially revealed this week with EA confirming that Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen will be this year’s cover athlete. This year’s game will once again see an increased focus on delivering an authentic on-the-field experience thanks to the next evolution of FieldSENSE and the debut of the new SAPIAN Technology. Madden 24 will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, PS4 and Xbox One, although many of the gameplay and visual improvements are exclusive to current-gen consoles.

When is Madden 24 releasing?

Madden 24 will release on August 18, 2023. It will be available for all of the abovementioned platforms worldwide on this date. However, there are plans for Early Access, which will allow you to jump in and start playing ahead of the official launch date.

How to get Madden 24 Early Access

Madden 24’s Early Access period begins on August 15, 2023. In order to start playing early, you need to purchase the Deluxe Edition of Madden 24. This costs $99.99 but also comes with 4600 Madden Points and a couple of other in-game items.

Another way to start playing early is to subscribe to EA Play. Those with a subscription to EA Play will be able to enjoy the Early access trial which starts on August 15th. It’s worth noting, however, that this is only a 10-hour trial, so you will eventually need to purchase the full game to continue playing. EA Play members do get to save 10% on Madden 24 pre-orders though.

Madden 24 Editions

Madden 24 will be available in two versions: the Standard Edition and the Digital Deluxe Edition. Both versions include Dual Entitlement, which means you can play the last-gen and curren-gen versions of the game within the same console family. However, it’s also worth noting that Madden 24 has next-gen pricing. The Standard Edition will cost $69.99 even if you only plan on playing on PS4 or Xbox One. However, should you upgrade your console to the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, you will get the current-gen version for free.
